Bubba Moreau is a lifelong resident of Tioga, Louisiana. He is married to Theresa Moreau for 43 years and has two children. Nicole Darnell is a nurse and also works in the family business and Cody Moreau, works in the family business also. He has three grandsons, Landon, Cameron and Easton Darnell.
Bubba graduated from Tioga High School. He is a self-employed business man and owner and operator of Effie Quick Stop & Tackle.
Bubba attended Missouri Auctioneer School in Kansas City, Missouri. Louisiana licensed auctioneer for the past 40 years. Bubba also served under Governor Mike Foster’s administration on the Louisiana Licensing Auctioneers Board.
This is Bubba’s fifth term to serve on the Rapides Parish Police Jury, serving District A proudly, which consists of all of Ward 10 and portions of Wards 9 and Wards 11. He has served as President of the Police Jury in 2018 and was also Vice President of the Jury in in 2013 and 2014.
Bubba has always been active in the Ward 10 Recreation program, having coached and sponsored teams for over 35 years.
He is presently serving as Chairman of the Personnel, Elections and Health Committee for 2019. Was Past President in 2018 and was also Vice President in 2013 and 2014. He is also a member of the Finance Committee; Public Works, Watershed and Agricultural Affairs; Coliseum Liaison; Workforce Development and Municipal Liaison Committee; Grants, Economic Planning and Development Committee; Courthouse and Tourism Committee; Parochial Board Liaison and Legal Committee and Insurance, Ambulance, Fire and Homeland Security Committee of the Rapides Parish Police Jury.
Bubba is currently a member of the National Association of County Officials and serves on the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Steering Committee. Also serves on the Red River Delta Law Enforcement Planning Council.
Bubba enjoys cooking, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
