Craig Smith is a lifelong resident of Deville, La., graduating from Buckeye High School in 1979 and also attended Nashville Auto Diesel College earning a degree as a Diesel Technician.
Craig is married to Kimberly Knight Smith. They have two children Quintin Smith and Magan Smith Linzay, whom are both Nurses, and has two grandchildren, Isabella and Lexton.
Craig is a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Deville and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
For the past 36 years he has been in the construction industry.
Craig has been employed with H&E Equipment Services in Alexandria, Louisiana, for 20 years as Service Manager.
He is currently serving as Police Juror for District C, which includes all of Ward 11 and parts of Wards 9 and 10.
Craig is currently serving as Chairman of the Public Works, Watershed and Agricultural Affairs Committee and also serves on the Finance Committee; Workforce Development and Municipal Liaison Committee; Grants, Economic Planning and Development Committee; Courthouse and Tourism Committee; Parochial Board Liaison and Legal Committee; Personnel, Elections and Health Committee; and Insurance, Ambulance, Fire and Homeland Security Committee of the Rapides Parish Police Jury.
He is a member of the National Organization of County Officials and serves on the Community, Economic and Workforce Development Steering Committee.
During his leisure time he enjoys hunting, fishing and camping with his family and friends.
