Richard Gerald Vanderlick is a lifelong resident of Rapides Parish.
Mr. Vanderlick is a 1957 graduate of Menard Memorial High School and completed a
correspondence course from Texas A&I.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserve for four years.
He retired from CLECo in 1989 after 40 years of service. He now serves on the
Board of Directors with the Rapides Island Water Association and has served on Rapides
Parish Sewerage District No. 1.
He has been married to Joan Feazell of Boyce for 49 years and has three children,
seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is a member of St. Rita’s Catholic
Church.
Mr. Vanderlick is Chairman of the Public Works, Watershed and Agricultural Affairs
Committee and serves on the Courthouse, Economic Planning and Development Committee,
the Insurance, Ambulance and Policy Committee; the Workforce Development, Personnel,
Fire and Homeland Security Committee; the Finance Committee; the Grants, Public Health
and Tourism Committee; the Municipal Liaison, Legal and Elections Committee; and the
Parochial Board Liaison Committee of the Rapides Parish Police Jury.
