Jamie L. Floyd was born in 1970 and resides in the community of Deville, Louisiana. Both sides of his family have been natives of Deville (District C) for over 100 years.

He is married to Laurie Elaine Dauzat Floyd for over 16 years.  They have three daughters:  Katie, Kellie and Madison Floyd.

He attended Buckeye High School.

He is a member of the Centerpoint United Pentecostal Church, where he serves as a board member.  He owns Jamie=s Lil= Saline Restaurant at the crossroads in Deville, Louisiana.

His hobbies include deer & squirrel hunting.

Mr. Floyd is Chairman of the Courthouse, Economic Planning and Development Committee and serves on the Public Works, Watershed and Agricultural Affairs Committee; the Workforce Development, Personnel, Fire and Homeland Security Committee; the Finance Committee; the Grants, Public Health and Tourism Committee; the Parochial Board Liaison Committee; the Municipal Liaison, Legal and Elections Committee; and the Insurance, Ambulance and Policy Committee of the Rapides Parish Police Jury.

He is presently elected to serve as Police Juror in District C, which includes parts of Wards 9 and 10, and all of Ward 11 - this includes Ruby Kolin, Hickory Grove, Deville, and part of Pineville.
