SPECIAL SESSION

The Police Jury of the Parish of Rapides, State of Louisiana, met in Special Session at its regular meeting place, the Police Jury Room of the Parish Courthouse, 701 Murray Street, Alexandria, Louisiana, on Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at 3:00 p.m. (Central Standard Time), pursuant to the provisions of a written notice given to each and every member thereof and duly posted in the manner required by law, viz:

NOTICE OF SPECIAL POLICE JURY MEETING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the special meeting of the Police Jury of the Parish of Rapides, State of Louisiana, has been ordered and called and will be held at its regular meeting place, the Police Jury Room of the Parish Courthouse, Alexandria, Louisiana, on Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at 3:00 p.m. for the following purposes to-wit:
1. Motion to reject Bid No. 1768 Purchase Asphalt Distributor Module to be Mounted on a Parish-Owned Vehicle and authorize to purchase one Roscoe Manufacturing Model Maximizer II, Hydrostatically Driven Oil (asphalt) Distributor, installed on a 2001 Freightliner Model FL70 Truck Chassis under the LaSalle Parish Police Jury Bid No. 17394, as recommended by the Public Works Director, Treasurer and Purchasing Agent.
2. Any other business that may properly come before the Police Jury.

There were present: Honorable Scott Perry Jr., President; Donald H. Wilmore, Vice President; and Police Jurors Ezra L. Reed, Myron K. Lawson, Richard L. Nunnally, and Richard W. Billings.
Absent were Police Jurors Davron "Bubba" Moreau, Steve P. Bordelon, and Joe Fuller.
Also present were Mr. Cecil Raggio, Public Works Director; Mr. Terry Bounds, Director of Office of Economic Workforce and Development; and Ms. Angie Richmond, Secretary.
The invocation was given by Mr. Richard Billings and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Richard Nunnally.
The Police Jury of the Parish of Rapides, State of Louisiana, was duly convened as the governing authority of said Parish by Honorable Scott Perry Jr., who announced the purposes of the meeting, in accordance with the aforesaid written notice thereof, and then stated that the Police Jury was ready for the transaction of business.
On motion by Mr. Don Wilmore, seconded by Mr. Richard Billings, to reject Bid No. 1768 Purchase Asphalt Distributor Module to be Mounted on a Parish-Owned Vehicle and authorize to purchase one Roscoe Manufacturing Model Maximizer II, Hydrostatically Driven Oil (asphalt) Distributor, installed on a 2001 Freightliner Model FL70 Truck Chassis under the LaSalle Parish Police Jury Bid No. 17394, as recommended by the Public Works Director, Treasurer and Purchasing Agent. On vote the
motion carried.
Mr. Lawson entered at this time.
On motion by Mr. Don Wilmore, seconded by Mr. Richard Billings, there being no further business, the meeting be adjourned. On vote the motion carried at 3:01 p.m.
